Acquisition Header & Key Details

ACQUISITION OPPORTUNITY · AVAILABLE NOW · Dexter Stamping Company — Complete Tier-1 Automotive Manufacturing Facility

A fully operational precision metal stamping, welding, and tube-forming facility located in Tennessee's automotive corridor. Offered as a turnkey acquisition through AssetBuilt's confidential disposition program.

  • Founded: 1955
  • Location: Murfreesboro, TN
  • Replacement Value: $50M+
  • Supplier Tier: Tier 1 & 2
  • Transaction Type: Turnkey Sale

01 — EXECUTIVE BRIEF

AssetBuilt has been engaged to facilitate the disposition of Dexter Stamping Company, a seven-decade Tennessee-based precision manufacturer specializing in complex, tightly-toleranced metal stampings and welded assemblies for the automotive industry. Established in 1955, the company has matured from a regional tool-and-die shop into a fully integrated Tier 1 and Tier 2 supplier producing fuel-handling components, turbo and exhaust assemblies, braking and safety-restraint hardware, lighting assemblies, and seating structures.

The facility is being offered as a complete, immediately operational acquisition — inclusive of stamping presses, automated feed lines, robotic welding cells, wire and tube forming systems, tooling, quality and metrology infrastructure, and supporting plant assets. With a current replacement value exceeding $50 million, this opportunity is positioned for buyers pursuing capacity expansion, reshoring, or strategic entry into North American precision-stamping supply.

02 — STAMPING PRESS LINEUP & FEED LINES

  • Minster Press (1,200 Ton): Coil-fed line, integrated servo feed | Classification: Flagship
  • AIDA Press (700 Ton): Dallas Industries feedline (uncoiler · straightener · servo feed) | Classification: Flagship
  • Minster Press (600 Ton): Integrated coil feed line | Classification: Production
  • Minster Press (400 Ton): Integrated coil feed line | Classification: Production
  • Minster Press (300 Ton): Integrated coil feed line | Classification: Production
  • Formtek SMXIV24 Roll Feed Systems: Servo roll feeds, 24" max strip width capacity (multiple units) | Classification: Feed Automation
  • Servo Roll Feeders & Feedlines: Multiple programmable servo units staged across press cells | Classification: Feed Automation

Press Line Configuration & Feed AutomationThe press floor is anchored by a 1,200-ton Minster and a 700-ton AIDA as the flagship lines, supported by Minster heavy-duty production presses at 600, 400, and 300 tons. Each line is configured with a matched coil-feed system and servo feeder, allowing the facility to run progressive die work across a broad part envelope — from heavy-walled extrusions to small-form precision stampings.

  • Dallas Industries feedline (AIDA 700-ton): A complete coil-handling solution paired with the AIDA press, including an uncoiler/reel, precision straightener, and servo roll feed. Dallas Industries lines are recognized in North American stamping for tightly controlled strip tension and pilot-release feed accuracy — well suited to the tightly-toleranced automotive components produced at the facility.
  • Formtek SMXIV24 servo roll feed systems: The SMX series is Formtek's servo roll-feed platform, with the "24" denoting the 24-inch maximum strip width rating. These units provide programmable feed length, multi-axis servo control, and integrated handshaking with press controls — enabling rapid changeover between progressive die jobs and high-cycle production runs.
  • Auxiliary servo feeders & feedlines: Multiple additional servo roll feeders and supporting feed lines are staged across the press cells, providing redundant capacity, line flexibility, and the ability to convert presses between coil and blank-fed work with minimal downtime.
